Children’s poet Robert Kurkela visited creative writing classes at Mark Twain Intermediate School for the Gifted and Talented, 2401 Neptune Avenue, in Coney Island.

The children engaged in an interactive presentation as they learned about the life of the successful author.

Eighth graders also had an opportunity to get a sneak peak at Kurkela’s newest book, Still her Spirit Sings.
