Ripened fruits and crisp veggies were just the tip of the iceberg for discerning boroughites as they made a beeline for farm−fresh delights at the Bay Ridge green market.
Urbanites discovered a cornucopia of fresh produce, plus dairy, meat, fish and baked goods at the outdoor food bazaar, 94th Street and 3rd Avenue.
The green market, established in response to a lack of supermarkets in Bay Ridge, is a program of the Council on the Environment of New York City, and is located on the site of a former Key Food, which is now owned by Walgreens.
Operating hours are: Saturdays – through November – 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
