A luncheon sprinkled with live music drew local seniors to the Shore Road Garden where they helped usher in the golden season with a picnic hosted by State Senator Marty Golden.
The annual fete, held in conjunction with the Shore Road Garden Council, featured a lively afternoon of camaraderie, including singing and dancing with friends and neighbors.
“The garden has become one of our community’a greatest treasures,” said Golden of the local emerald empire at 91st Street and Shore Road.
