Left a mess
A nogoodnik broke into a victim’s home on Avenue W sometime overnight on Aug. 11, ransacked the living room, and stole a bunch of valuables — including a passport and Social Security card, according to authorities.
The front door of the victim’s home near Batchelder Street was jammed open, and the lawbreaker had poured bleach all over the living room couch, flipped over the television — causing damage to the screen — and swiped black a pair of Jordan sneakers, a Sony PS4, a passport, Social Security card, and $100, police said.
Bike snatchers
Police cuffed three suspects who they say stole a woman’s bike and photographs in Manhattan Beach Park on Aug. 9.
The suspects surrounded the victim in the park on Oriental Boulevard at 7:05 pm and threatened to hurt her if she did not give them her white Specialized-brand bicycle, according to authorities.
Three for one
Two jerks broke into a guy’s home garage on E. 22nd Street on Aug. 9 and stole three bicycles, police said.
The man told police the malefactors broke the lock on his garage on Avenue U a little after midnight and took one white single-speed road bike, a 2-year-old white mountain bike, and a 7-year-old dark blue mountain bike.
Expensive break-in
A crook broke into a guy’s home overnight on Avenue R on Aug. 12 and stole a safe, laptop, and watch, police said.
The cur entered the home on E. 26th Street through a side window at sometime between 7:30 pm and 3:15 am and swiped the safe with $1,500 in it, an Apple MacBook Pro, and an Audemars Piguet watch, according to authorities.
Caught on camera
A punk broke into a store on E. 15th Street on Aug. 7 and sole a wad of cash, police said.
The lawbreaker entered the business near Avenue Z at 7:38 am through a back door and stole $600, according to authorities. The victim has video footage of the jerk breaking in and taking the money from the register, police said.
