The Bensonhurst West End Community Council’s (BWECC) next meeting will be held at 8 p.m., May 19 at new meeting quarters, the United Progressive Democratic Club House, 29 Bay 25th Street.
The council — a non-political, civic organization which does not endorse candidates of any party — will discuss problems involving the Department of Transportation, including the new eastbound entrance to Belt Parkway on Cropsey Avenue, which has a right turn signal arrow that some have deemed unnecessary.
BWECC is requesting for members of the community who have any traffic problems to email the council at diegovega@aol.com, so they can be forwarded to DOT for possible resolution, or call 718-946-6667 with traffic complaints, problems or danger spots.
BWECC usually meets on the fourth Monday of the month, but due to the Memorial Day weekend, has pushed up its meeting date up one week earlier.
