Pounding the pavement is a sweeter prospect in Prospect Heights this month.
Vanderbilt Avenue will be closed to vehicular traffic and open to pedestrians, between Park Place and Dean Street, each Sunday through June 28, noon−5 p.m.
The temporary pedestrian plaza, called Summer Streets on Vanderbilt, is sponsored by the Vanderbilt Avenue Merchants District and the Prospect Heights Neighborhood Development Council in conjunction with the New York City Department of Transportation.
