A cop, a fireman and an attorney returned to the classroom to tell tales to a rapt audience during a “Celebrity Reader’s Day” at Public School 105.
The literacy program drew the participation of members of the community, who hit the books with local educators and parents to acquaint youngsters with the joys of reading as part of National Young Reader’s Day at the school, 1031 59th Street.
Among the guest readers were lawyer Andrew Sichenze, Sarah Jacobs from the office of Assemblyman Felix Ortiz, Sgt. Seth Friedman from the 66th Precinct in Borough Park and Firefighter Eugene Reilly of Ladder 146 in Greenpoint.
