This one’s a no-brainer.
If you like free food — and really, who doesn’t? — head to Park Slope on Sept. 15 for the “Taste of Fifth Avenue,” where you can sample the strip’s diverse cuisine without spending a dime.
“We wanted to promote Fifth Avenue’s great restaurants,” said Irene LoRe, president of the Park Slope Fifth Avenue Business Improvement District. “We’re going to make it really special.
Get your ticket at Fifth Avenue and First Street so you can stroll along the strip, between Dean Street and 18th Street, and get samples of its restaurants signature drinks and dishes.
Among the dozen or so restaurants participating will be French bistro Moutarde, LoRe’s Aunt Suzie’s, sports bar 200 Fifth and Peruvian spot Coco Roco. For dessert, Trois Pommes and Culture, the newish frozen yogurt place, will provide, while the jazz band the Moonlighters serenade you.
“We’re planning a great time in the neighborhood,” said LoRe. “You can have something to drink, listen to music, and have dessert. What could be better?”
