AAPI Community Fair by Meals for Unity
Description:
Meals for Unity is a certified 501(c)(3) nonprofit grassroots organization dedicated to reducing food insecurity among marginalized communities in the New York City boroughs, starting with the AAPI elderly community through monthly meal donation events.
In celebration of our one-year anniversary, our AAPI Community Fair will be filled with AAPI food vendors, local AAPI merchants, and performances by local AAPI organizations. The fair will also include community-based activities and music. Event details below.
- Date & time: Saturday, April 30, 12 PM – 2:30 PM
- Location: 62 Mott Street (at CCBA aka New York Chinese Community Center)
This event is open to all and costs $25 a ticket. All proceeds from our ticket sales will go directly to our meal fund including buying raw materials for cooking and meals from local AAPI businesses.
Ticket purchase includes:
- Entry to the event
- 1x free meal + dessert voucher from one of our AAPI food vendors
- Performances by local AAPI organizations
- Access to local AAPI merchants to shop from
