The Living Installation

NYC Waterfront performance

Art Couple on the Pier

Saturday, August 28st, 6-8 PM

Celebrate The Living Installation in a dynamic, free-spirited outdoor performance, of outsider art outside! Old NY New York’s Art Couple take the Living Installation out of doors to the Christopher Street/Pier 45, Hudson River Park for a Live/ or Online performance that will not only break boundaries but pull in the dynamic energy of NYC in the process! Come join and watch in the open air at one of the best, calmest, water spots in NYC. The couple brings all materials, sounds, and energy to their bodies as they morph for 2 hours into endless shapes of inspiration in a time when we need it most. The Living Installation continues bringing art and performance live to the streets of New York. In an NFT world 3-D has gotta count!

The summer is ending and we will gather together safely for a wild, body morphing, transformational performance. See Jadda Cat and Michael Alan Alien combine, recombine, mesh and transform their bodies and elaborate art costumes into thrilling, pulsing, organic combinations! See them transform into otherworldly, unreal, living human sculptures! They will pull out all the stops, using handcrafted art props, found objects, puppetry, and a custom-made sonic creation by their band Michael Alan Alien (on Bandcamp) with songs with the late Tommy Ramone, Tim Love Lee, The Residents, Jello Biafra, Arron Dilloway, MF GRIMM and Mike’s parents.

It’s going to be a true Old NYC Performance art extravaganza!  Bring a date, friends, or even a sketchpad and come relax. If it rains the event will still take place as the end of the pier has a huge tent!

Donation ticket-based and also live-streamed! You can get tickets here:
