Every Thursday, join stand-up comedian and political scientist Andrea Jones-Rooy as she takes on today’s big questions through a political science lens. She’s got new topics, and new guest political scientists and comedians each week, and the floor is always open to questions from you.

This Week’s Topic: What is “belonging” and how does it affect politics? Evidence from the Latinx community

“Belonging” is a topic of great interest these days, but what exactly does it mean? How might we measure it? Why does it matter so much?

Join us this week as we learn from Angela X. Ocampo, Ph.D., who has developed original methods to measure this concept and map its influence on political participation in the Latinx community, from voting to running for office.

This live-streaming show is a must-see for anyone interested in better understanding the concept of “belonging” (whether in a company, your community, or the country), the factors that motivate participation in politics, and/or the role of the Latinx community in US politics.

We’re joined by comedian Igor Martinez and, hopefully, you!
