Color Me Nude Fundraiser For Breast Cancer Awareness Month; Virtual Water Colors Figure Painting
Please join us online on October 26 from 7:00 pm 9:00 pm EST, to learn how to elevate your watercolor painting to the next level. What you thought you knew in kindergarten, will be transformed!
Cost of the workshop is $ 20, with 75 % off for cancer survivors. In honor of breast cancer awareness month, 20 % of proceeds will be donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF.org). Participants will enjoy 30 minutes of learning watercolor blending techniques, then one hour of drawing along with the teacher drawing figures based on our live model, and the last 30 minutes participants go freestyle, finding their inner artist. This class will specifically focus on celebrating all bodies and helping everyone to understand the value of individuality and challenge the media’s definition of beauty and acceptance of all bodies, through art and creativity.
Teacher, Claire Willson, is a fine artist, creative educator, and textile designer living in Brooklyn, NY. Through her work, she’s drawn to the re-contextualization of the beauty in nature and figurative studies while she explores the use of color, shape, and line. Painting brings her peace, and her hope is to convey the same sense of connection to class participants. Through her class, Claire will help us paint “outside the lines” and to see ourselves in a positive light.
