Give up the Goods Community Day with Tremaine Emory
WHO: Queens Museum and fashion designer Tremaine Emory – Founder and Creative Director of Denim Tears.
WHAT: Queens Museum and fashion designer Tremaine Emory – Founder and Creative Director of Denim Tears – are teaming up to host Give Up The Goods, a free outdoor celebration of all things Queens at Flushing Meadows Park.
To thank the institution’s loyal supporters and toast to the resiliency of the borough, the public event will include a star-studded music line-up by renowned DJs Venus X and Hank Korsan, as well as workshops led by BordeAndo (group crochet activities), MinKwon Center for Community Action (Get Out the Vote initiative), StreetLab (PLAY activation), and LIFE Camp wellness experiences.
Tremaine is also partnering with Queens Museum to create limited edition merchandise that will be available for purchase at the event with all proceeds directly supporting the museum’s exhibitions and community programs.
Additionally, Queens Night Market vendors will be providing picnic lunches for sale, in addition to red velvet cake available for purchase by Torrin Emory from Sherlyn’s Bakery.
