MARCH UNITED FOR PUBLIC SCHOOLS
MARCH UNITED FOR PUBLIC SCHOOLS was created to inspire the public to take action in support of our teachers, our students and to rally behind the democratic notion of public education. It’s part fundraising walk, part school spirit parade, and part awareness campaign, and we’re asking all New Yorkers to join us on Sunday, June 2, 2019. The walk concludes with an open to the general public k-12 family festival with student performers, marching bands, cheerleaders and acapella choirs. The festival will feature a curated art tent showcasing the best student art submitted and judged by a prominent committee and an arts and crafts zone where kids can make their own. There will be a story time tent presented by ABC Mouse, Scholastic & MadeGOOD, a bubble garden by Mr. Bubble and SHOP UNITED presented by CHASE – a retail shopping village featuring minority owned / small businesses. Special performances by the Big Apple Circus.
