Pump the Beat With GayStay!

June 19, 2019.

Founded in 2016, GayStay provides safe, inclusive, and eclectic accommodations for the LGBTQ community. Tonight, GayStay hosts “Pump the Beat,” an event celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall riots in which everyone is invited to bring a boombox or portable speakers for a Pride-themed stroll through the Village. After gathering under the arch at Washington Square Park at 6:30 p.m., everyone will hit play simultaneously and walk through the West Village, stopping at the Stonewall Inn on the way to the LGBT Community Center on West 13th Street. The “Pump the Beat” playlist includes “Diana Ross’ “I’m Coming Out,” ABBA’s “Dancing Queen,” Gaga’s “Born This Way,” and The Village People’s “YMCA,” among many. The evening promises to be a true “cele-gayation!” Gay-owned and operated, GayStay is an online marketplace that enables folks to list, browse, and book accommodations worldwide without fear of prejudice or bad vibes.
