Reading & Rugelach

Description:
Book reading with free multi-cultural food at the historic Old Stone House:
Award-winning local author Fran Hawthorne will talk about her debut novel The Heirs, the story of how a New Jersey soccer mom — the daughter of a Polish-Jewish Holocaust survivor — becomes obsessed with the Polish-Catholic family of her 9-year-old son’s soccer teammate. The $5 admission will benefit the Old Stone House & Washington Park in Park Slope, and books will be available for sale and signing.
Rosanne Korenberg, co-executive producer of the Oscar-winning film I. Tonya, calls The Heirs “a compelling read.”
