‘We Will Meet Again’ Group Art Show
New Apostle Gallery is pleased to present a forthcoming group show in collaboration with Dobbin St. in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
Dobbin St. is a creative event space boasting a 4000+ square foot exhibition space and an impressive roof garden with amazing city views.
This is a one day fundraising exhibition to be held on September 10, 2020 (with a back up date of October 1, 2020).
There is no specific theme, but the title ‘We Will Meet Again’ evokes humans’ social desire to congregate, and how our perceptions of this have drastically changed. Art is a vehicle for creating community engagement and social/political discourse. The show celebrates the resilience and humility of the mighty New Yorker.
We are expecting approximately 50 established and emerging artists. Some of the artists that are confirmed include: Stash, Lee Quinones, Sue Kwon. Maya Hanuk,Frank Hyder, David Hollier, Elle, Dr. Revolt, Myungho Choi, Taha Clayton, Michel Carluccio, Tricia Keightley, Haleh Atabeigi, Rosie Kanellis, Bari Krishna, Liza Niles, Anthony Castro, Eric Slayton and Elena Lykair
Proceeds from this event will go to both The Okra Project (a collective that seeks to address the global crisis faced by Black Trans people) and Brooklyn COVID-19 Response Fund, providing immediate and longer-term resources to vulnerable residents across the borough of Brooklyn.
The event will follow Covid-19 regulations, currently that means wearing a mask and have temperatures taken on entry along with social distancing rules.
