An exciting array of historic walking tours and events conclude Green-Wood Cemetery’s spring schedule. These outdoor activities are part of an ongoing series of cultural and educational events that highlight Green-Wood as an important visitor destination.

All walking tours meet at the main entrance at 25th Street and Fifth Avenue in Brooklyn, unless otherwise noted. Visitors can call 718-768-7300 for information. All tours last about 2? hours. Call 631-549-4891 if the weather is threatening or for additional information.

Upcoming events include, May 4 at 1 p.m., “Underground Muses of Green-Wood.” Many famous and fascinating artists, actors and composers have made Green-Wood Cemetery their place of final repose. Leonard Bernstein, Louis Comfort Tiffany, Asher B. Durand, George Catlin, Currier and Ives, George Bellows, William Merritt Chase, Laura Keene and Basquiat are just a few this tour may visit.

Visitors will also enjoy the visual delights of Green-Wood, its trees and ponds and its sculpture and buildings by the leading artists and architects of their time, all in a setting of remarkable springtime beauty.
