First annual senior prom coming

Active adults and seniors from various communities, will dance, skip, and hop at the first annual Senior Prom, sponsored by Millennium Development, held at Midwood Active Adults Center, 4815 Avenue I, June 27.

“Our members are very excited, because it brings them a sense of joy to be able to dance and connect with people,” said Jacqueline Florio, director, Midwood Active Adults.

The Senior Prom, scheduled from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., will showcase live music, dancing, and raffle tickets. Food will also be served during the event.

“I truly believe that an event like this promotes active aging and encourages our active adults and seniors to build strong friendships,” said Paul Curiale, executive director of Millennium Development.
