Brooklyn was fly as mom, dad and the kids packed da house for the fourth annual Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival in DUMBO, headlined by the legendary KRS-One and DJ Premier.
The veteran rappers shared the stage with Brooklyn-based MCs and upstart rhyme artists at Empire Fulton-Ferry State Park for the fourth annual showcase of scratched, pulsating beats that have found a niche in urban legend.
The show – preceded by a family festival, featuring food, games, giveaways and health screenings – was part of a three-day festival, kicking off with “Revive Da Live!” at Brooklyn Masonic Temple, followed by “Brooklyn Keeps On Taking It” at the Powerhouse Arena with performances by, among others, Fresh Daily, Sputnik Brown and DJ Sucio Smash, and culminating with “Brooklyn Family Day” at Empire Fulton-Ferry State Park.
Joining KRS-One were Buckshot Blu & Exile, Mickey Factz, 88-Keys, J. Period and Fresh Daily and other special guests.
