The Green-Wood Historic Fund held its second annual benefit in support of the impressive array of preservation projects, community outreach events and educational programs that take place at Green-Wood Cemetery.

New York City preservationists Nancy and Otis Pearsall were honored with the DeWitt Clinton Award for their life-long advocacy for the preservation of the unique architectural and cultural character of New York City.

The benefit was attended by more than 225 guests, and featured a special trolley tour, reception,performance by Angels & Accordions and a dinner ceremony, during which time there were presentations by NYS Assemblywoman Joan Millman, Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz and Green-Wood President Richard J. Moylan.

“The Artists of Green-Wood” were also highlighted during a first ever exhibit of some of the works in The Historic Fund’s collection of its artistic permanent residents.

Green-Wood Ceremony, a National Historic Landmark, is located at Fifth Avenue and 25th Street in Greenwood Heights.
