This guy was too touchy-feely for his own good — and cops want to put him behind bars.
Armed with a sketch, police are sweeping the neighborhood in search of a groper who molested an 11-year-old girl near the Brooklyn junction at the border of Flatbush and Midwood on July 22.
The girl told authorities she had just walked home from a local supermarket and had entered her building near the corner of Bedford and Flatbush avenues at 12:35 pm when the predatory pincher, described as a male in his 30s, followed her inside.
He jumped her in the lobby and grabbed her breasts, but the plucky little girl managed to break free.
The fiend was last seen scurrying out of the building, witnesses told police, who want to catch the predator before he can get his hands on any other potential victims.
Investigators say this is an isolated incident, but the 70th Precinct has seen an astounding jump in sex abuse cases this year.
According to recently released NYPD CompStat statistics, cops in the 70th Precinct have investigated 14 rape complaints by July 18 — nine more than the five reported at the same time in 2009.
Police said none of these previous attacks are related and most of the victims knew their attackers, but could not explain the recent increase in rape reports.
Anyone with information regarding the July 22 sex assault is urged to come forward. Calls can be made to the NYPD CrimeStoppers hotline at (800) 577-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
