Haunted Walk at Prospect Park

The beloved Haunted Walk in Prospect Park is back on October 31 from 12-3 p.m., and more fun than ever. Lurking high on Lookout Hill are zombies, wolf men, headless horsemen, good and bad witches, and other creepy characters.

The Haunted Walk is suitable for young children accompanied by parents or older siblings. Suggested donation is $1; enter the park at the Prospect Park Southwest and 16th Street.

From 12-3 p.m. also enjoy the Haunted Carnival, an annual treat on the Nethermead in the center of Prospect Park, which features games and music. Other attractions include the Haunted Carousel, 12-5 p.m. ($1.50); Scary Stories from the Past, at 2 & 3 p.m. in the Lefferts Historic House; Skeleton Cut-Outs, 1-4 p.m. (make your own Halloween headbands using the traditional Scharen-Knippen paper-cutting art form) also at the Lefferts House; Creepy Crawly Halloween, 12-5 p.m. (a critter-fest with spiders, worms and other creepy creatures plus creepy crafts and hands-on experiments, all at the Audubon Center.

Also enjoy Boo at the Zoo, 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Prospect Park Zoo with face painting, craft making, encounters with “spooky” creatures and a trip through the Zoo’s legendary haunted barn.
