The Scandinavian East Coast Museum will be hosting its annual Viking Fest at Bliss/Owl’s head Park on 68th Street and Colonial Road from 12-5 p.m., May 17.
Viking Fest will feature “The Norseman,” a half size replica of a Viking ship, two re-enactment groups, fencing demonstrations, rides, Scandinavian food and crafts.
This year’s performance is entitled, “Touched by the Vikings,” and will include music and dance from countries that the Vikings either settled, or traded with, from North America to the Middle East, as well as a band from Kvinesdal, Norway.
