Toshi’d!
Two thieves broke into an unlicensed, but popular, Driggs Avenue hotel’s office on July 30, stealing four computers.
Hotel Toshi owner Robert Chan told cops that he had left his basement management office at 2:30 am, but one hour later, two thieves entered the S. Fifth Street building with a key card, as a surveillance camera revealed before one of the perps spray-painted the camera lens.
Meanwhile, an outside camera showed a dark-colored SUV pull up in front of the building and get filled with $6,689 worth of computers before leaving at 4 am.
Chan told police that it must have been an inside job, as he had recently fired 20 employees.
Roebling ransack
A burglar broke into the Roebling Tea Room on July 30, ransacking its office and wrecking parts of the restaurant.
The burglar entered the Roebling Street eatery, which is at Metropolitan Avenue, after 2:30 am, overturned several tables and chairs, and stole three keys.
Graham crackers
Two perps struck a man on the back of his head on Graham Avenue and took his wallet minutes after he cashed his check at the bank.
The perps approached the man at 4:50 pm, on July 26 near Boerum Street, when one hit him on the head causing him to fall. The other perp grabbed his wallet, which contained, $120, and both of them ran away.
Nail envy
A thief with sturdy nails broke into a Graham Avenue nail salon and stole $6,000 from its safe on July 25.
The perp broke the front door on the salon, which is at Moore Street, sometime after 9 pm, and grabbed the cash box.
Rock star
A burglar broke into a Kent Avenue nightclub on July 24 and made off 11 bottles of liquor.
The thief unlocked the door after 4 am and headed straight for the bar, taking $275 and enough liquor to throw a house party.
Car taken
A thief stole a car from Boerum Street and Bushwick Place on July 26.
The owner told cops that he had parked the sedan at 8 pm.
Laptop lifted
A thief broke into a man’s Union Avenue apartment on July 30, 10 minutes after he left it to walk his dog.
The thief entered the apartment near Stagg Street at 10:10 pm, grabbed the victim’s laptop off a table and escaped through a nearby window.
Toyota stuff
A thief stole $890 worth of property from a car on Kent Avenue on July 30.
The thief broke into the unlocked car after 10:30 pm and opened its trunk to swipe a laptop and a bag of clothes. When the owner returned to the spot near S. Fourth Street at 10:30 am the next morning, she discovered the dastardly crime.
