Brooklyn residents took a respite from their barbecues and the heavy humidity to cool down at Sunday’s McCarren Pool Party (780 Lorimer Street) sponsored by the Open Space Alliance and JellyNYC.
The concertgoers avoided the beach and instead spread towels out on the filled-in concrete, rocking out to Ronnie Spectator, the Rabbit Factory Soul Revue, and Wiley and the Checkmates.
Others played dodge ball and took turns running into an inflatable slip ‘n slide, which are fast becoming McCarren Pool summer traditions.
The pool is busy this week, with a summer film series resuming on Tuesdays, Matt and Kim, and the Whip playing July 13 and the Liars coming down on July 20.
