The Kings Bay Y will present “Israel on Nostrand Avenue,” their annual Israel expo, June 14 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The expo will feature Israeli music and dance, interactive games, displays of the achievements of Israel’s citizens, and will also showcase opportunities for travel to Israel and much more.
Local businesses, Jewish organizations, and civic groups will participate in the day’s activities. Elected officials and community leaders will address the crowd at 12:15 p.m.
Nostrand Avenue between Avenues U and V will be closed to traffic as the community enjoys live music, an Israeli marketplace full of jewelry, Judaica, Israeli craft, delicious food, free giveaways and raffles.
Children will play on carnival rides, visit a petting zoo and participate in other fun activities like face painting and sand−art. The street is closed for the duration of the event and admission is free.
