Blade runners

A trio of punks threatened a man with a blade on a Bay 14th Street alley on July 14 and stole $800 plus his cellphone and driver’s license before fleeing on foot, police said.

The assault and theft occurred between Benson and Bath avenues around 11 pm, and began when one of the perps approached the man from behind, put the blade to his neck, and shoved him into the alley, police reported. The other two baddies then appeared and stole the goods from the man’s pockets before kicking him to the ground and fleeing on foot in an unknown direction, according to the report. The man was uninjured, police said.

The owner of the backpack left it on the sidewalk between Benson Avenue and Rutherford Place briefly around 9:10 am and returned to find it missing, police said.

Better the wallet than the baby
