Park Slope
True daily double
Put your thinking caps on for Dr. Maria Wenglinsky. She is the brilliant Latin and European history teacher at St. Saviour High School invited back to compete in Jeopardy’s Battle of the Decades tournament.
Standing O pal Dr. Maria was one of the highest female money winners in Jeopardy history, having earned a whopping $122,300 — and that ain’t hay.
She competed against other tourney winners from the decade of the 2000s. The folks at Jeopardy had a gag order, but Dr. Maria was able to whisper, “I can tell you that I don’t think I did badly at all.”
No matter, because in Standing O’s tournament book, Dr. Maria will always be a champion.
