Brave Americans have died on the battlefield for our ideals — their bodies buried in nearly every graveyard in the nation — but their supreme sacrifices are in vain, if we meet new threats to our way of life with pappy policies or moony silence to protect cultural sensitivities.
President Obama’s pledge to take in 100,000 mostly Muslim refugees annually by 2017 raises troubling questions about security, resettlement, and false entitlement. Especially when federal authorities last month charged two Iraqi migrants on terrorism-related charges, more than 90 percent of runaways already here from the Middle East are on food stamps, and the Office of Refugee Resettlement and Freddie Mac are grooming Islamo-castaways as homeowners, thanks to a new Islamic financing initiative, setting the stage for another housing bubble — and burst.
The stupidity over survival ignores the sordid ties between terrorism, migrants, and non-assimilation:
• Afghan refugees spawned the Taliban in Pakistan.
• Palestinian refugees birthed Fatah, Hamas, and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestinian.
• Federal agents are investigating Islamic State germs in all 50 states, while extremists across the pond are plotting in their Islamo-lairs around the clock.
America can learn a lot from Europe’s Franken-societies, where staggering majorities of Muslims live on the dole, while others scam the system — some of them to fund the jihad juggernaut.
A popular swindle involving bigamy and polygamy has Muslim men tying the knot in religious ceremonies to evade civil matrimonial laws, then passing off their wives as single moms to collect taxpayer-funded benefits for several “families” the same man has fathered. In more knavery a man divorces his wife, she obtains free state housing, the couple resume their cohabitation, and rent out the second home, socking it to their oblivious adopted governments.
The refugee crisis is a culture shock — for Western nations. Liberal Germany is having an epiphany about its public pork ban — installed foolishly to placate Muslim refugees — because it now realizes sausage prohibitions are simply un-Deutsch. That’s food for thought for America, which should ensure migrants do not exploit her hospitality or hijack her values before granting them status.
