Boot burgled
A scofflaw managed to remove his car from Dean Street on Dec. 26, despite the city’s boot, according to cops.
A traffic officer reported that he placed a boot on a Chevy Trailblazer at 3:52 pm, while it was parked between Court Street and Boerum Place. He returned at 6:30 pm to remove the boot so a tow truck could take the vehicle, but the car and boot were already gone, cops said. The police report is for the stolen boot, which cops value at $1,200.
Unholy happening
A sinner swiped a woman’s purse during services at a Smith Street church on Dec. 28, cops said.
The victim said she was in the house of worship between Fulton and Livingston streets for services from 8:20 to 10 am and had her purse on the bench next to her. When the service ended she noticed her bag was gone, police said.
She said she suspects a woman who was sitting behind her during the services, because the lady left in a hurry. The bag contained a pair of sunglasses, a debit card, and a cellphone, police said.
Ink dink
Someone smashed a guy in the face with a fire extinguisher while he was getting a tattoo in a Fulton Street parlor on Dec. 27, cops said.
The victim said he was sitting in the shop between Lawrence and Jay streets at 7:25 pm when the goon came over and beaned him with the device, cutting him on the upper lip, according to police.
Emergency technicians took the victim to Brooklyn Hospital Center, and the lowlife, who was with a posse, fled on Fulton towards Adams Street, officers said.
Shot for a shove
A maniac shot a man in the buttocks after he bumped into him on a York Street sidewalk on Dec. 28, according to the authorities.
The victim said he was walking to a deli between Bridge and Gold streets with his cousins at 7:50 pm, when the ne’er-do-well bumped into them and an argument ensued, a report says.
The stranger flashed a black handgun and the victim and his cousins took off running, the report says. The victim heard a shot and felt pain, then he saw an ambulance and ran towards it, he said.
Game over
A trio of tough guys robbed a teen on Sand Street as he was heading home from a basketball game on Dec. 22, cops said.
The victim said he was between Gold and Jay streets at 6:20 pm when three brutes approached, displayed a gun, and took his phone.
Nissan gone
Someone swiped a Nissan Altima from its parking spot on Hoyt Street on Dec. 20, police said.
The car’s owner said she parked it between Atlantic Avenue and Pacific Street at 3:30 pm, and returned a half hour later to find it gone. Her wallet, which contained debit and credit cards, was also in the car, cops said.
No ride
A meanie stole a woman’s car keys while she was parked at the corner of Flatbush Avenue and Fulton Street on Dec. 23, after she refused to give him a ride, the authorities said.
The driver said she was sitting in her Honda at 3:30 pm when the guy, who she knew from high school, came up and asked for a ride. She refused, the man-child got angry, and he grabbed the keys from her hand and ran down Fulton towards Rockwell Place, cops said.
Lap-rob
An antisocial crook stole four laptops from a Dean Street school sometime between Dec. 5 and Dec. 23, NYPD officials said.
Employees of the school between Third and Fourth avenues said the computers were last seen at noon on Dec. 5 and that they noticed them gone at noon on Dec. 23.
Bike heist
A grinch stole two bicycles from the hallway of a Nevins Street building while the owners were on vacation from Dec. 21 to Dec. 24, cops said.
The cyclists said they left their apartment between Atlantic Avenue and State Street at 5 pm on Dec. 21 and returned at 2 pm on Dec. 24. The bikes were in a hallway shared by other tenants in the building, according to a police report.
Christmas thieve
Cops cuffed two employees of a Fulton Street department store who they say took from the till on Dec. 24, according to a police report.
A manager at the store between Gallatin Place and Hoyt Street said the employees removed $390.82 in cash from the register, and also stole $1,234 in merchandise.
The manager also said the suspects admitted their crimes and signed a written statement saying so, police reported.
Bag grab
A cruel crook pushed a 65-year-old woman to the ground and stole her bag on Water Street on Dec. 26, according to the authorities.
The woman said she was between Bridge and Jay streets at 9:40 pm when the scalawag approached and tried to snatch her purse.
The woman fought back, and the goon shoved to her the ground, cops said. She hit her head on the sidewalk and the lout took off running, police said.
Shot in the back
A menace shot a man on York Street on Dec. 26, cops said.
Officers responded to a call about shots fired in the area at 4:30 pm, and found eight shell casings between Bridge and Gold streets, according to a police report. The authorities were later alerted to a man who walked in to Brooklyn Hospital Center with gunshot wounds to the back at around the same time, cops said.
