Public School 119 students Ishara St. Phard and Kensey Seraphin are in a class of their own after being proclaimed “outstanding” young citizens by the Niew Amersfort Community Civic Association.
The pair was hailed with awards for its volunteerism and service in the area during the grassroots group’s final community meeting before the summer hiatus at St. Paul’s Church, Avenue J and East 40th Street.
The meetings will resume in September on the fourth Tuesday of every month.
Public School 119 is located at 3829 Avenue K.
