Held up for iPhone
A 17-year-old was arrested for mugging a man for his iPhone on Butler Street on Oct. 4.
Police report the victim was near Hoyt Street at 4:50 pm when the suspect, along with two unapprehended accomplices, allegedly pushed him.
The teen then whipped out a BB gun, pointed it at the victim, and demanded that he hand over his iPhone, police said. The victim obeyed orders and the group fled.
Throwing threats
Cops arrested a 42-year-old man for threatening to kill a woman on two separate days — Nov. 3 and Nov. 9.
Police say the victim was in her Clinton Street home when the suspect threw a newspaper at her and threatened he would, “Kill you and make it look like an accident.”
He also allegedly yelled, “I will burn the house down, and if you call 911, I will shoot every cop that comes here,” according to cops.
Break-in
Police arrested a 45-year-old man who they say broke into a car on Hicks Street on Nov. 13.
Officers say they spotted the perp climbing out of a broken passenger-side window of a Toyota parked near Warren Street at 12:30 am.
The suspect had a flashlight in hand and the car’s navigation system was knocked over, cops said.
Cocaine bust
Police arrested a 27-year-old man accused of dealing cocaine on Butler Street on Nov. 9.
An officer said he spotted the suspect hand another man a small baggie in exchange for an undisclosed amount of cash at 10 pm. When the suspect noticed that the officer was watching, he fled the scene, prompting the officer to chase him.
The suspect allegedly reached into his pant’s pocket, pulled out a baggie of what the officer said appeared to be cocaine, and swallowed the drugs before the officer could confiscate them.
The suspect resisted arrest by flailing his arms and struggling to get away from the officer, but was found with cocaine at the 76th Precicnt at 10:25 pm, according to cops.
