Hitler’s evil was recalled – and tribute paid to the memories of his massacred – when the Flatbush and Shaare Torah Jewish Center presented its annual Holocaust observance.
The sobering commemoration drew mourners, among them survivors of the Holocaust, and their relatives, to the synagogue, 327 East 5th Street, where they paid tribute to the six million Jews and others, who perished at the hands of Nazis during World War II.
Visitors illuminated candles and helped dedicate a Garden of Remembrance in honor of late Holocaust survivor and local congregant Meyer Daskal.
