Rock n’ roll for kiddies

The Carroll Park Concert Series concerts continues with Audra Rox, July 15, bringing rock and roll energy and loads of kid−friendly activities to the park, bounded by Carroll, President, Smith & Court streets.

The music starts at 4 p.m., shine only. Check www.carrollparkbrooklyn.org on show day for status.

Named the “Queen of the NY Kids Rock Scene” by TimeOut Kids magazine, Audra Rox performances burst with infectious energy, promising lots of fun for the whole family.

Brooklyn−based Audra Tsanos provides original songs, which tackle everything from lost shoes and broken toys to sugar highs and short attention spans, which appeals equally to children and their parents.

The series includes food, fun and a chance to win big prizes, as every show ends with a raffle. Among the prizes are a music class with Audra, Body Elite membership, and a jogging stroller. All players can redeem tickets for great consolation prizes.

If you can’t make it to the show, tickets ($5) can be bought from a local business. For more, go to www.carrollparkbrooklyn.org⁄raffle.

With neighborhood mom⁄volunteer Simmi Degnemark at the helm, the series will also bring rock band Starfish on July 29, and world music icon Putumayo Kids featuring Jay Mankita on August 8.

Don’t forget to bring some pocket money for crafts, such as face painting by Gymstars and T−shirt decorating with Ted Meyer, as well as food and drinks, and various treats available for purchase, from 3:30−5:30 p.m.

Grown−ups will be able to take advantage of a mini massage by NYS licensed massage therapist Pat Cisarano. All proceeds benefit the Committee to Improve Carroll Park.
