Ryder Street plays it cool for the summer

Whether they were playing basketball or bathing in an inflatable pool, residents of Ryder Street between Fillmore Avenue and Avenue R were keeping cool as they kicked off their annual block party recently.

Residents were all smiles as they played games, ate heartily and, above all, became re-acquainted with their longtime neighbors.
