Sotto Voce

A favorite lunch spot of indie filmmakers and actors in Park Slope, this restaurant, which opened in December 1998, serves contemporary Italian cuisine. Chef-owner Mario DiBiase offers a wide range of pasta, fish, meat and chicken dishes, including fusilli tossed in a four-cheese cream sauce and garnished with roasted walnuts. Nightly dinner specials are available, and you can end your meal on a sweet note with house-made dessert such as tiramisu, apple pie or Italian cheesecake. The menu also offers low-carb specials such as salads and fish. Seating is available both indoors in the light, airy dining room and outside (weather permitting) in its sidewalk cafe where diners happily study the bustling Seventh Avenue locals. Open daily for lunch and dinner. On Sundays, the $16.95 brunch special which runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. will buy you a choice of over 15 dishes ranging from eggs to French toast to pasta along with unlimited alcoholic and caffeinated brunch beverages, and homemade pound cake. Hours: Monday-Thursday, 11:30 am-11:00 pm; Friday-Saturday, 11:30 am-12:00 am; Sunday, 11:00 am-11:00 pm.
