Bangladeshi Institute of Performing Arts presents a two segment production highlighting Bangladeshi culture. The first segment of the production brings together a collection of Bengali songs covering a multitude of genres from traditional Rabindranath and Nazrul compositions to folk, modern and other styles, featuring Selima Ashraf and Nilofar Jahan. The second segment, a dance drama, Unseen Beauty of Bangladesh is a story of a young Bangladeshi-American girl anticipating her first visit to Bangladesh. The dance drama takes her through the world of imagination bringing to life the various regional cultures of Bangladesh.
