Soccer player killed

A St. Lucian soccer player was shot as he sat in a car outside of a Utica Avenue club on Aug. 30.

Isidore Philip Tisson and several friends went partying at McKenzie’s Care, which is between Carroll and Crown streets, after playing in the Digicel Caribbean Cup Tournament.

At 4:25 am, a gunman opened fire at the car in which 28-year-old Tisson and a 24-year-old woman were seated, wounding both of them.

The two were rushed to Brookldale Hospital, where Tisson died of his injuries. The woman, who was hit in the arm, was listed in stable condition.

Cops are trying to determine what occurred before the gunplay. Anyone with information regarding this incident is urged to call CrimeStoppers at (800) 577-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
