Shot during robbery

A 23-year-old shot a man in the stomach during a Nov. 13 iPhone robbery on Flatbush Avenue.

The victim was walking between Foster and Farragut roads at 6 pm when the hooligan approached, drew his weapon and demanded the smart phone.

When the victim refused, the gunman opened fire, striking the victim in the abdomen. The thief then ran off with the iPhone as his victim writhed on the ground in pain.

Paramedics rushed the victim to an area hospital where he was treated and listed in stable condition.

Cops tracked down the thief after a brief investigation and charged him with robbery in the first degree. They also connected him with a cellphone store robbery on Church Avenue between Bedford and Flatbush avenues on Nov. 10, when 20 cellphones were taken. The store clerk’s iPhone was also among the stolen hardware, police said.
