The New York City College of Technology Small Business Development Center, Brooklyn Economic Development Corporation, and Capital One Bank present a free workshop for new small businesses and entrepreneurs.
The seminar, “Understanding Commercial Leasing,” will be held July 31 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Capital One Bank, 256 Fulton Street between Jay & Adams streets in Downtown Brooklyn.

Topics include:
· What can be negotiated in a lease?
· Understanding the tenant vs. the owners responsibilities
· What happens if I break my lease?
· What are the differences between leasing office and retail space?
· What is a transferable lease?
· Commercial lease real estate property tax
