The Kings County Conservative Party hosted its 27th Annual POW/MIA flag dedication ceremony at “Lookout Point,” 81st Street and Shore Road, to commemorate Memorial Day, the federal holiday remembering fallen servicemen and women who gave their lives to their country.

Party Chairman Jerry Kassar was joined at the ceremony by members of the Conservative Party and St. Anselm’s Boy Scout Troop 20.

Each year, the Kings County Conservative Party donates flags to the Parks Department to remember the prisoners of war and those still missing in action.

A similar dedication also took place at nearby Leif Ericson Park, 6450 Fourth Avenue.
