A white and sand-colored adult cat was found abandoned in its carrier on the footbridge connecting Sheepshead Bay and Manhattan Beach, with a note inside requesting that someone take care of the feline as its owner had passed away.

The female cat — whose name, as indicated by the note taped to the carrier, is “Janee” — is spayed and healthy, and is temporarily staying in Manhattan Beach with a Good Samaritan, who cannot look after the animal and is hoping someone will come to adopt it.

According to the note left in the carrier, “Janee” is good-natured but does not get along with other cats.

If you are interested in adopting “Janee,” please call 646-242-1792.
