While the world looked away, the Bergson Group — led by the heroic efforts of Peter Bergson (Hillel Kook) — spoke out, and played a key role in rescuing 200,000 Jews during the Holocaust.

Join the Brooklyn Holocaust Memorial Committee, September 22, 1:30 p.m., for a special commemorative ceremony inaugurating the new Bergson Group monument at Brooklyn Holocaust Memorial Park, located at the foot of Sheepshead Bay, where Shore Boulevard intersects with Emmons Avenue.

Featured speakers include Hon. Edward I. Koch, Hon. Stephen J. Solarz, Dr. Rebecca Kook, Rabbi Haskel Lookstein, Rabbi Binyamin Kamenetzky, Robert Weintraub.

The event is sponsored by the David S. Wyman Institute for Holocaust Studies and The Brooklyn Holocaust Memorial Committee.
