It was almost like going back to school.

Ten members of Community Board 14 were singled out, at the board’s September meeting, for having had perfect attendance records at board meetings in the prior year.

Nicole Hablenko, representing Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz, presented perfect attendance certificates to Joe Basso, board Chair Alvin Berk, Lawrence Hilonowitz, Naomi Lipnick, Robert Newman, Ephraim Nierenberg, Ed Powell, Morris Sacks, Gary Schultze and Mary Walters.

“It’s a remarkably large group,” remarked Berk, who jocularly added, “People say to me, ‘Get a life – all you do is go to meetings.’”

The meeting was held at Edward R. Murrow High School, East 17th Street and Avenue L.
