Traffic along 60th Street between Bay Parkway and 21st Avenue was halted temporarily Thursday after a bus ended up jammed into a small common driveway between two buildings. Witnesses told police that the school bus was making a U-turn on 60th Street just after 9:30 a.m. on September 18 when the driver lost control. The driver said that his brakes locked, although police said that they found skid marks at the scene. As fate would have it, the driver navigated the bus into a residential driveway, but not before smashing through a resident’s front yard. Police said that no one was injured in the street or on the bus, which was empty.
