Soccer players remembered the tragedy of September 11 last week during a poignant tournament at Aviator Sports Complex.

Teams from New York and New Jersey took to the field off Flatbush Avenue in a bid for the Memorial Cup, while remembering the 3,000 lives lost in the attacks on the World Trade Center.

Tournament sponsors included the Veterans Sports Association, Aviator Sports and the Brighton Beach Business Improvement District.
