A 27-year-old man had a box-cutter raked across his face as he was refused entry into an apartment building on Schermerhorn Street last week.

The victim told police that he was entering the address near Court Street at 8:10 a.m. on August 11 when he was confronted by a black male in his mid-twenties.

The stranger wouldn’t let him inside.

When they argued, the suspect lashed out with the box-cutter, leaving the victim with a deep laceration that needed medical attention.

Cops were still searching for the assailant as this paper went to press.
