Local children saluted the summer season in style as they took part in the uber-kid friendly Youth Happen’n celebration.

Paerdegat Park at Albany Avenue and East 40th Street was transformed into a theme park of summertime activities during the annual event, which honors both the accomplishments of area children as well as community spirit.

All of the fun that took place at Youth Happen’n 2009 was sponsored by Community Board 17s Youth Service Planning Committee and the 67th Precinct.
