A 31-year-old woman suffered a concussion during a brutal mugging in which a thug threw her into a fire hydrant.

The victim told police that she was nearing the corner of Berry and South 4th streets at 3:30 a.m. on August 23 when the suspect approached.

“Hey girl, what’s up?” the stranger asked before he grabbed the woman and bodily threw her into the hydrant.

The thief then ran off with her purse, which contained $150, some credit cards and a MetroCard.
